Project Description
GRIT initiative aims to foster a gender responsive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sri Lanka's Northern region over five years (2022-2027). It seeks to empower young women entrepreneurs by creating sustainable pathways for economic empowerment inclusive growth opportunities in the SME industry by channeling impact investment opportunities.
Main Four Pillars of the GRIT Program
Exploring comprehensive landscape research focused to support stakeholders to design/re-design development strategies.
The research is a product for data reference for stakeholders, to place individuals into entrepreneurial quadrants and develop tailor training programs to their strengths.
The initiative aims to empower and inspire 100 women by providing tailored support to groom and develop their startups.
It includes workshops, panels, and networking opportunities with a focus on women's leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. The goal is to build a supportive community that helps these women thrive and advance their ventures.
Shapes women for entrepreneurship through the EDTP program, offering a comprehensive suite of workshops, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
240 participants will receive industry-specific training and business management courses in business planning, marketing, finance, and leadership. The program also supports them in preparing and pitching their ventures in competitions for impact investments, equipping them to successfully launch, manage, and scale their businesses.
LIIN’s leadership of GSG Impact Sri Lanka is committed to strengthening collaborative partnerships among ecosystem players and accelerating the adoption of impact investing including international exposure for winners, with a strong focus on integrating a gender lens.
The project advances research on impact investment, facilitates the investment process, and includes screening, pitch competitions, and impact measurement and management activities.
