LIIN Empowers Northern Women Entrepreneurs through Emerging Women Summit
More than 200 participants, including over 150 women entrepreneurs from across the Northern Province, gathered at ReeCha Park and Resort for the Emerging Women Summit, organized by the LIIN under the GRIT Project with funding from GAC and implemented in partnership with the WUSC. Held under the theme "Unlocking Markets and Capital for Women Entrepreneurs in Northern Province", the Summit brought together entrepreneurs, government agencies, financial institutions, academia, and private sector representatives to strengthen women-led enterprises through improved access to finance, markets, networks, and business development opportunities. Key highlights included expert panel discussions on financing and market access, a vibrant marketplace featuring over 40 women-led businesses, and an Entrepreneurs Fashion Ramp showcasing products from more than 25 entrepreneurs. The event created valuable networking and market linkage opportunities while reaffirming the commitment of LIIN and its partners to continue supporting women entrepreneurs across Northern Sri Lanka through capacity building, access to finance, and expanded market opportunities, contributing to a more inclusive and resilient regional economy.
